This holiday season, Stocktwits teamed up with Faded Spade to host Chips for Charity - a charity poker tournament aimed at raising awareness and promoting diversity throughout the financial sector. More than $100K was raised from donors and sponsors with proceeds benefetting Wall Street Bound.

Stocktwits is the largest social network for investors and traders, with over two million registered community members and millions of monthly visitors. StockTwits was founded in 2008, with a mission to connect regular investors and traders with each other so they can profit, learn, and have fun.

Wall Street Bound’s mission is to get more urban youth into the front offices of Wall Street. By teaching the technical skills of equity & data analysis, trading and investing, we can empower under-represented young adults to aim beyond their present horizons and embark on fulfilling careers as investment professionals.

The 1st place winner earned a Chips for Charity Trophy and a Trade App account with $2,020! Other prizes included signed copies of Josh Brown and Brian Portnoy's new book How I Invest My Money and Jack Schwager's new book Unknown Market Wizards.

In addition to the virtual poker tournament, Stocktwits worked with Faded Spade to produce a live stream show (recording) of the event, which was a hit among players and viewers. Guests included Brian Portnoy, Caleb Silver, Christie Hamilton, Howard Lindzon, J.C. Parets, Jack Schwager, Saira Rahman and more.

The leading choice for charities and foundations to host their virtual poker events, Faded Spade provides a fun, safe, and white label branded way to raise funds. Since May, Faded Spade has helped more than 60 charitable organizations fundraise more than $2M through virtual charity poker events.

St. Jude, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Jason Taylor Foundation, Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, Miracle Flights, Joe Namath Foundation and Ed Asner Family Center are just a few non-profits that have held virtual charity poker fundraising tournaments with Faded Spade this year.

In addition, a variety of corporations like Google, Guggenheim Securities, RSM, Morning Brew and more have held employee connectivity, client appreciation or fundraising virtual poker tournaments.
